desert-landscape1Vision Board

If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking.
Buddhist proverb

I created my first vision board some years ago.
What material you use is completely up to you. Sometimes I use a poster board and other times a pin board.
It will represent your dreams, desires, wishes, hopes, yearnings…..and more…. I find pictures in magazines, photo albums, or I paint something small. There are no rules; you can be as creative as you want to be.

The question is: what do you want to make out of your life?
Sit still and listen to your inner voice and than…..create. Create a vision at home and here on this page too. Write a poem, send pictures. Let us know what you would like to attract into your live. And soon you will realize you are not alone. Many other women will join and we support each other.

Storiesforest

This is a place where women of all ages are invited to tell their stories. In the olden days we had our wise women society. In search of a new society of wise women let us create a Lodge where we can teach and treat each other with respect and integrity, humor and laughter. Let us create a place where you all have a voice.

Granddaughter, take your Laptop and visit your grandmother or great grandmother or elderly neighbor and let her tell you a story and than share with us.

Wise Women Circle

As Women,

we are nurtures, givers, creators,

we are teachers, mediators, healers, we are lovers, mothers, grandmothers.

We grow stronger when women enter our circle, when women share our feelings, when women embrace our dreams.

Together our Spirits

can heal, can love, can teach others to accept.

Where are you, my Elder?

Where are you, Wise Woman?

Please honor us with your presence and join our circle.

Women in their Childbearing Yearswaterfall

There is a certain lack of knowledge among us women about what it really means to live in rhythm with our female cycle in our high tech world. After talking and working with many, many women as a nurse in Germany, as a massage therapist, and as a minister I have the deep conviction that over the centuries we have lost our connection of our innermost knowing about our womanhood. I asked myself, “how can we bring this incredible richness back into our lives without even knowing what we are missing?” Among my family and friends are many older women whose feminine teachings taught me over time a different view of all things. These teachings are important for our general health and physical well-being. I create women’s groups to explore and remember together managing female cycles and rhythms in a natural way. We learn how to create a sacred space, to relieve a hectic lifestyle, to center within, and will have information on nutrition and woman’s health. . This process enables us to have a greater understanding about the rhythms of the female cycle. It gives us skills and techniques to improve the quality of our daily life, and we learn the value of sharing experiences and wisdom as women.

Moon Lodge

In the olden days we called the Moon Grandmother. Living outdoors, closer to nature our monthly cycle was aligned to the moon cycle.

At  Her brightest  and most open, there is the Full Moon.
This is a time of outward activity and high energy. Magic seems to touch everything as the silver light shimmers upon the world.
Then Grandmother begins to cover her face, gently to withdraw. This is the Waning Moon.

As the Dark of the Moon comes we are at our most inner place. Our menses begins. In a natural cycle which is very difficult to maintain in our high tech world, we women actually want to withdraw as well into a quieter place, becoming less outward and social, more being and less doing.
Going back to our true nature takes time and commitment. We have to stop and listen, we silently have to listen within, deeply, where our inner true beautiful womanself lives.

The Moon-time is a time of retreat.

The traditional woman goes to a moon-lodge, a place of quietness and beauty, separate from daily activities. During these days of her bleeding, she has the joy of doing nothing. No cleaning, no cooking, taking care of others, being at the workplace etc. Her sole purpose is to be open for visions for her people, listen to her inner voice and her dream time.

Coming out of the moon-time, a woman comes back to the world.

Now, Grandmother begins to uncover her face. As the tiny slice of New Moon waxes fuller and fuller the time of activity starts again. And so the cycle goes on.

“How might your life have been different if there had been a place for you to be,
a  place of women  who helped you , guided you during your time of the month

to go inside yourself,  reflect on your thoughts and feelings,  pray and dream,
and women, already experienced, had listened and shared……..

How might your life be different?”

Talking Circles And Talking Feathers Are…
Post by: menolly on December 14, 2005, 08:49:33 PM

The talking feather serves much the same purpose as the talking stick. It is usually an eagle’s feather, since the eagle (in our culture) is the bird who flies highest, and is in essence the “messenger from the Creator” and takes our prayers up to the Creator.

ALL ARE WELCOME in a talking circle, ESPECIALLY small children and the elderly, for we feel they hold the most wisdom. Children because they have just left the Creator’s side, and the elderly because they are preparing to rejoin [him].

The person who has the feather is allowed to speak as long as they want, with absolutely no interruptions.
Anything they say is NEVER EVER criticized. What we are supposed to do, is IGNORE that which we do not agree with, and BUILD UPON that which we do agree with.

Consequently, ALL conversation in a talking circle, EVERY WORD is about the parts we agree upon. The rest falls into silence, like seeds that scatter in the wind.

NO ONE is allowed to leave a talking circle until there is 100% unanimity. How do we know when unanimity is achieved? When the talking feather is passed person to person entirely around the circle, and no one has another thing to say. In short, one complete circle IN SILENCE.

I have seen talking circles that lasted 14 or 15 hours. The longest ones, surprisingly are usually the smallest ones. Because when you only have 4 or 5 people who must arrive at concensus, itis usually because there is a problem or argument between them.

But being forced to find points to agree upon with an adversary, does incredible things to one’s heart. We see THEIR points, instead of trying to win our own points.

Too many arguments in this world are about winning our points by force.

The talking circle is all about seeing other points by agreement, or letting them go with silence.

I forgot to mention that a talking circle usually takes place out of doors. So if you have 30 people sitting in a clearing, with trees and birds and sunshine, this too becalms people, and leads to peacefulness.
The feather is always passed to the person sitting to the left of you. This is also a contributor to peace. for you must wait your turn to speak, even if you disagree most deeply with something that has just been said. BY THE TIME the feather comes around to you, you have gotten TIME TO THINK of a peaceful answer. In short, the feather kinda makes you hold your tongue.

And since it is an eagle’s feather, and the eagle will take your words up to the Creator’s ear, when you have it in your hand, you measure your words carefully. It’s like holding the Bible or something. It makes you speak honestly and solemnly.

In summary (lord, I sound so pedantic!) A talking circle is a large open meeting, where

A) all are welcome
B ) Everyone has an absolute right to speak for as long as they wish
C) Everyone has a right to not be interupted
D) No one will criticise your opinion.
E) Everyone will be searching hard to find parts of what you say that they can agree with, and validate as truth.
F) The whole aim and purpose of a talking circle is to create respect, harmony and a peaceful decision or resolution of a conflict.

We are a cyberspace community and we cannot sit in a circle .
But still this is a place where you can speak freely and we all will listen with an open, compassionate heart.

Health and Wellbeinggarden1

From as far back I can remember I was interested in the life of people. Wanted to know how they feel, what they think, and how their health is. When I turned fourteen I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I am going to work in health care.  And ever since my emphasis is in holistic health.

This is an open forum for you to ask questions and discuss  health and wellbeing.
